This series of work is based on an old cartography (map) design style. The art work is research focused around the pre-European and early European arrival to New Zealand.

Full notes on the subject of each piece are included in a sealed envelope attached to the back of each painting.  The concept is to create contemporary artifacts, which are not only ascetically pleasing but also capable of teaching us important historical lessons.
